Feeding the Ducks

We like to save the ends of bread and go feed the ducks at the lake from time to time. These ducks actually ate out of their hands but Nia started getting a little scared. We had a great time.

Summer Time Fun

My kids love playing outside and finding worms, caterpillars, june bugs, butterflies, moths, and many more yucky creatures. But one of their favorites is the frog. It is such a great and exciting day when they catch one. Ian even "bought" a frog cage with his Awana points at church.

Our 2 new kittens, Joey & Chloe, are growing so fast. We adore our new kittens. Nia came to me one day and said that Chloe (the girl) thinks she is her mommy. Here's way.....

New Additions: Joey & Chloe

We picked them up in a WalMart parking lot from a man giving them away. There was only 2 left so we took both. On the way home, I was holding one of them and let it down in the floorboard of the front seat. It crawled so far up that we thought it was going to get hurt so we stopped and tried to reach him. I heard meowing from the grove compartment. I opened it and there it was. How did it do that? We have had many laughs the past couple days.

Goodbye to Dolphin : (

When we first moved to Oklahoma we started feeding this stray cat. After a while he became very comfortable and made his way into our home and hearts. We named him Dolphin because of his coloring - he just looked like a dolphin. We had him 3 years and loved him. He started getting sick several months ago. He was losing a lot of weight, not eating well, vomiting, diarrhea, and was very weak. He was such a good cat not a very playful cat but always loving on someone and he was exceptionally great with the kids. Me and the kids took him to the vet today and they tested him for Feline Leukemia and it came back positive. He said there was a slim chance that with medicine, shots, and some fluids that he would get better but not cured. It is also a contagious disease and we have another cat, Hobbes. With broken hearts and many tears we decided that putting him down would be the best. It was not easy making that decision. We will miss him!
