GAG!!!
Kodah is 4 months old. Can you believe it? I can't. He has been eating less but getting bigger. He has laughed out loud a few times but is still learning. He loves talking to anyone who will talk back. He has not yet rolled over and he is not sleeping through the night. He is a happy happy boy! Hardly ever cries except when I mess up and have caffeine or anything spicy. Four months comes with real food (well, not in my opinion). He hated it and gagged on it several times. What to do?

Breakfast in Bed
I can't express the joy my daughter brings me. She has been telling me, "don't get up early tomorrow because I want to do something for you" for a couple days now. This morning at 7:00 a.m. I heard my cabinet doors opening and I knew what she was up too, however, that was just to0 early on a summer day so I told her to go back to bed for a while. An hour later I woke up to her bringing me breakfast in bed. Such a SWEETIE!

As you can tell it was Fruity Pebbles!

Easter 2009 - Family Pictures - 25 wks pregnant
We had a great Easter this year. We decided not to go the Texas where family is because we were just there for Spring Break. So it was just us.
Saturday night we made "Easter Story Cookies" (I can email you the recipe if you would like) thanks to Megan. Each ingredient means something about the death and resurrection of Christ. This morning we took them out of the oven and each of us ate one. They were hollow! which signifies the empty tomb. I was amazed.

After church we took some more pictures...

Taste of Surrey Hills
We had our 2nd Annual "Taste of Surrey Hills" in our Women's Ministry at church. Those women who want to decorate tables do so and those who would rather cook, cook. At the end of the night we all take home a cook book all of the dishes made that night - plus lots more. We had a great turn out. This year we included the men due to the massive amount of food last year. It is always a great event. We have a lot of hard working women that make this event happen.

Chicken Scaloppini
Growing up, we never were big on pasta. We were more the steak & potatoes type people. I love fried anything and potatoes of any kind. However, my husband loves pasta so I have learned to really like Italian food. We like a dish at Johnny Carino's called Chicken Scaloppini (sautéed chicken breast, mushrooms, roma tomatoes, bacon and lemon butter cream sauce with spaghetti). I found a website that has a recipe for a copycat of Johnny Carino's dish. We absolutely loved it. The kids really like it to. I added another chicken breast so that it would feed my family of four but next time I will double it so that we can have leftovers.

Extra Zero
Has this happened to you? You put an extra zero when cooking in the microwave? These potatoes were supposed to be for the kids and were to only cook for 3 minutes. Instead of 3:00 it was 30:00 and we didn't know it until smoke started coming out of the microwave. Me and mom were talking and cooking at the same time. On top of that the steak fingers got burned while we were addressing the potatoes in the microwave and a paper towel got a little too close to the stove. We decided that we should have gone out to eat. The food was great but that certainly was "one of those days".

Chocolate Cake
After church tonight we went to eat at Romeo's favorite restaurant, Zio's Italian Kitchen. For dessert we had some sort of chocolate cake with ice cream. Of course you can expect the kids to be covered in chocolate but usually the adults don't get involved. This time was different. Romeo joined in!!! Then we all decided to have a little fun. And you can certainly tell we did!! (vote for your favorite face -->)
